1. The Cheshire Cat Open Competition will be played as a Medal Competition over 72 Holes. The Winner of the Competition will be the Competitor returning the lowest gross aggregate score for 72 Holes. Both The Stockport Salver and The Wilmslow Crow will be played in conjunction with the main event and over 36 Holes respectively.
2. The Cheshire Cat is a qualifying competition for World Amateur Golf Ranking points. The Wilmslow Crow and The Stockport Salver are qualifying competitions for Northern Order Of Merit points.
3. Any Trophy presented will remain the property of The Wilmslow Golf Club and Stockport Golf Club on permanent display in each Clubhouse. A memento trophy will be presented to the winner of each competition in addition to any monetary prize.
4. Entry to The Cheshire Cat is available to Male Amateur Golfers who are bona fide members of recognised Golf Clubs or iGolf and are in possession of a Handicap Index not exceeding 2.0 at time of entry.
5. The field will be restricted to the 66 players entered with the lowest playing handicap index when signup closes. A ballot will be used to restrict the field to that number.
6. A Starting Sheet for each round will be displayed on this site and sent to those Competitors who have supplied an e-mail address.
7. No refunds will be made once the draw has been finalised.
8. The Committee will replace players who scratch with Applicants from the reserve list.
9. Competitors will be made Temporary Members of either The Wilmslow Golf Club or Stockport Golf Club for the day.
10. In the case of a tie, there will be a count back decided on the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or final hole as may be necessary.
11. Prize Winners are requested to attend the Prize Presentation on Friday at whichever club is hosting the second day of the competition to accept their prize.
12. Presentation of Prizes will take place on Friday at the first opportunity following the return and verification of the last playing cards but it is anticipated to be shortly after 8:00pm. This will be dependent on restrictions in place at the time.
13. Official Competitors will be granted one free practice round on the course(s), subject to making prior arrangement with the Professional.
14. The Previous Year's winner of the Cheshire Cat event will be granted Free entry to the event.
15. Smart Casual Dress is required in the Clubhouse and on the Course.
16. Catering facilities will be available on the day at players' expense.
17. The Competition Committee reserve the right to refuse an entry without assigning a reason for such action. The committee reserves the right to vary the number of competitors or to extend the closing date for entries. Any dispute arising shall be referred to the Committee for their decision which will be final.
