The Cheshire Cat - Entry Rules

1. The Cheshire Cat Open Competition will be played as a Medal Competition over 72 Holes. The Winner of the Competition will be the Competitor returning the lowest gross aggregate score for 72 Holes. Both The Stockport Salver and The Wilmslow Crow will be played in conjunction with the main event and over 36 Holes respectively.
2. Any Trophy presented will remain the property of The Wilmslow Golf Club and Stockport Golf Club on permanent display in each Clubhouse.
3. Entry to The Cheshire Cat, The Stockport Salver or The Wilmslow Crow is available to Male Amateur Golfers who are bona fide members of recognised Golf Clubs and are in possession of a Handicap not exceeding 4.
4. Fully completed entry forms, with Email Address OR S.A.E. and respective entry fee must reach The Administration Team c/o The Wilmslow Golf Club by 13th July 2018. Cheques should be made payable to The Wilmslow Golf Club. The field will be restricted to the 66 players entered with the lowest playing handicaps and in the event of over subscription, a ballot may be necessary to restrict the field to that number. At least seven days before the competition, a Starting Sheet will be sent to those Competitors who have supplied an e-mail address or a S.A.E. A short reserve list will be made and as soon as it is apparent that a reserve will not be required, entrance fees will be returned.
5. The Committee reserve the right to replace players who scratch with Applicants from the reserve list.
6. Competitors will be made Temporary Members of either The Wilmslow Golf Club or Stockport Golf Club for the day. Smart Casual Dress is permitted in the Clubhouse and on the Course, Shorts are not permitted on both days of the main event. Jacket and Tie must be worn for the Presentation.
7. Play will be in Threes. Only 1.68" approved golf balls will be used and in the case of a tie, there will be a count back decided on the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or final hole as may be necessary.
8. Prize Winners are requested to attend the Prize Presentation on each given day to accept their prize.
9. The Competition Committee reserve the right to refuse an entry without assigning a reason for such action. The committee reserves the right to vary the number of competitors or to extend the closing date for entries. Any dispute arising shall be referred to the Committee for their decision which will be final.
10. Catering facilities will be available on the day - Soup and Sandwich vouchers will be handed out after completion of the first round. The vouchers are the responsibility of the Player and if lost, will not be replaced.
11. Presentation of Prizes will take place at the first opportunity following the return and verification of the last playing cards but it is anticipated to be at 6.30pm approximately.
12. Official Competitors will be granted one free practice round on the course(s), subject to making prior arrangement with the Professional.
13. Previous Year winner of each event will be granted Free entry
